Aspen Music Festival
This nine-week summer festival is presided over by Music Director David Zinman. It offers more than 200 events, including orchestral concerts, chamber music, opera and contemporary music concerts, master classes, lectures, and kids' programs. The Benedict Music Tent, which has room for 2,050 people, runs daily concerts during the festival. Other venues include the gorgeously restored Victorian Wheeler Opera House, and the Harris Concert Hall. Events also take place in churches and smaller halls in the town. Tons of events are free - lawn seating outside the Music Tent is always free.
JAZZ Aspen Snowmass
This internationally recognized concert series takes place every summer offering regular performances featuring Jazz and World music.
Live Music
In addition to renowned festivals, such as the Aspen Music Festival and JAZZ Aspen Snowmass mentioned above, the Aspen, CO music scene is impressive. A couple of local bars and venues host regular live music performers, ranging from local artists to well known rock bands.
