There's lots to do throughout winter in Aspen. Indeed, the variety is so extensive that sometimes the hardest thing is choosing!
A.W.O.L. in Aspen - Winter Wallride
This is an Aspen/Snowmass signature event. AWOL will create huge excitement with athletes, media and spectators as the most popular action sports event on the planet.
The Wallride is in downtown Aspen, where athletes scale an insanely enormous 30-foot wall feature.
Annual Snowmass Mardi Gras Parade and Celebration
The southern tradition of "Fat Tuesday" returns to Snowmass for the long standing annual authentic Mardi Gras celebration. Even folks from New Orleans travel here to experience this annual craziness!
Cirque d'Aspen
This is an extraordinary circus event including sixteen international performers that have come together to amaze and inspire Aspen for three shows only.
Storm the Stars
Aspen Mountain hosts the Annual Storm the Stars Uphill Race, the only nighttime endurance event in the Aspen/Snowmass area. Local enthusiasts and regional sports junkies charge up 3,000 vertical feet to the top of the mountain using their preferred choice of equipment and lighting.
The race begins at the base of Little Nell, climbs up Aspen Mountain ski area finishing at the Sundeck Restaurant.
Following the race, the general public is invited to join the racers for Rock the Stars, featuring live music, food and beverages, and an awards ceremony celebrating the accomplishments of the evening.
