Tri-Glenwood Triathlon

The Tri-Glenwood Triathlon is an exciting event you can't miss when in Aspen. It consists of three parts: The swim, the ride, and the run. Whether you participate in this fun event, or just enjoy the race from the sidelines, this triathlon is sure to leave you with lasting memories.

The Swim – 825 Meters

An open swim of 7 lengths of the Hot Springs Pool. This part of the triathlon consists of 6 heats, with about 50 people per heat. Each heat has a good mix of swimmers with differing abilities, which allows the field to spread out evenly.

The Ride – 15 Miles

The ride segment of the competition begins at the Hot Springs Pool parking lot, moving west on North River Street. After a quarter mile riders reach the intersection of Laurel Street and N. River Street, and the Exit 116 to I-70 entrance ramp. Competitors cross the intersection and then head up the I-70 entrance ramp, going west on I-70 to the Canyon Creek Exit 109 exit. Biking up the ramp, they ride over the highway and return to I-70 going east. Riders then turn around and head back in the opposite direction, heading past Exits 111 and 114. They exit at Exit 116, cross Laurel Street, and proceed to the finish area.

The Run – 5 Miles

The run course starts toward the East. Course marshals are present along the route.
