US Comedy Arts Festival

This festival is no longer being held.  The information below if a breif history of the festival and past events.

Since its debut in 1995, the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival was the place to find new and upcoming comedic talent. It's was also famous for hosting unique events such as Monty Python, SCTV, Sex and the City, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Saturday Night Live reunions. In the past it has also brought together the casts of Cheers, Animal House, and In Living Color.

The Comedy Film Honors event is also exciting. AFI Star Awards have been given to many notables in the past, including Diane Keaton, Mike Myers, Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David, Steve Martin, Billy Crystal, Albert Brooks, Rob Reiner, Robin Williams, and Whoopi Goldberg. The Simpsons Live originally played at this festival as well. The event also hosts the Freedom of Speech Awards, which has honored George Carlin, Bill Maher, Dick Gregory, The Smothers Brothers, and Michael Moore.

Past performances have been made by Ray Romano, Camryn Manheim, Jack Black, Eddie Izzard, Anthony Clark, and others.
