The Roaring Fork Valley sprawls lush and rolling at the base of the towering Elk Mountains and is breathtaking to capture from the air. With the vivid colors of the numerous balloons and gentle glide through the air, hot air balloon rides are perfect for the entire family. A balloon ride offers the opportunity to view the massive landscape from an eagle’s perspective without the constant in-your-face roar of an airplane engine - though the propane burners on the hot-air balloons periodically roar loudly.
Most rides start at $175 per person in the summer and $195 in the winter. The rate includes transportation, food, champagne and video filming. Most hot air balloon rides start early in the morning to take advantage of the usual mild wind conditions. While in Aspen, stop at the visitors center to find more information.
