Summer Recreation
Come to Aspen and get a taste of adventure and the backcountry with some of the best tour guides in Colorado. For these dudes, providing fun tours for families and groups is a must. There is so much to see and do: canoeing, ridge hikes and hikes over high mountain passes, biking, horseback riding, rafting, hiking, paragliding and so much more.
The Elk Range of the Rocky Mountains offers some of the best mountaineering and technical climbs on 14,000 ft. peaks.
Ranging from conditioning "hikes" up Mt. Sopris or Castle Peak to technical routes on Capitol Peak, Pyramid Peak and the Maroon Bells, you'll be guided through safely without sacrificing enjoyment and a sense of extreme adventure.
Or go on a memorable backcountry guided hut trip with friends and family. Take in spectacular views of the surrounding Aspen area and experience an aspect of Aspen not seen by many.
There's more. A backcountry jeep tour and picnic to the top of Elk Camp on Snowmass Mountain is a delightful "get-away-from-it-all" experience. The Elk Camp area is privately maintained by the U.S. Forest Service and the Snowmass Ski Area.
Enjoy a very private and peaceful visit to the top of the 11,325-foot Burnt Mountain. From the summit, you will be treated to a fantastic view of Aspen Mountain, beautiful Willow Creek, and the breathtaking Maroon Bells. It is not uncommon to see the large herd of elk, which makes its summer residence in the area.
