Transportation
Aspen, Colorado is one of the easiest places to get around once you get there. Although convenient, airline tickets can be expensive when flying directly into the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport. Aspen sits directly in between Grand Junction and Denver, so if you rent a car or take a long bus ride, it may be cheaper to travel into a larger city first. If you fly into the Aspen Airport a shuttle will take you into Aspen for free and to Snowmass for $3.
more infoFortunately Aspen’s transportation system is fantastic and convenient. In order to keep traffic and pollution at a minimum the city offers free city shuttles that take you wherever you want to go within the city. They run often enough that you don’t have to wait long for the next bus. Traveling to Snowmass and other ski areas around Aspen is easy as well. Once in Snowmass, another free shuttle service is available within the town of Snowmass Village. It runs every ten minutes between 7am and 12:30am.
