While visiting Aspen, Colorado, all of the beauty and excitement of
Summit County are practically in your backyard. Just take highway
82 east to highway 91 north. Breckenridge is the most famous town
in the county. Just hop on Interstate 70 east for a few miles and
then take highway 9 south to Breckenridge for an action packed
adventure. Other Summit County towns include Frisco, Dillon and
Keystone, and Silverthorne.
Summit County, Colorado is a great place to visit all year
round. Of course during the winter, skiing is the main attraction
for the area. Downhill skiing is available at Breckenridge,
Keystone, Loveland, Copper Mountain, and Arapahoe Basin. Nordic
skiing, ice skating, snowmobiling, indoor swimming and other winter
activities are also available. During the summer, there is no end
to activity options. Hiking, biking, kayaking, rafting, boating,
sailing, swimming, tennis, skateboarding, horseback riding, hot air
balloon rides and alpine slides are only the beginning your Summit
County adventure.

dominant economic force in the area, and the locals specialize in
