Rifle Colorado

Rifle, Colorado is a growing mountain town that offers a small town atmosphere, exciting new business opportunities, and topnotch outdoor recreation opportunities. Rock and Ice Climbing
Rifle Mountain Park is located just 13 miles north of Rifle, and is home to some of the best and challenging limestone sport rock climbing. A majority of the routes are for experienced climbers, although beginners will definitely be able to find routes of moderate grading. The climbing season lasts from mid-April through October. When winter sets in and the temperatures drop between December through March, you can find ice climbers scaling their way up frozen waterfalls along the limestone cliffs.

Fishing
The Colorado River flows right through Rifle, making fishing a popular and year-round activity. Cast your lines to catch brown and rainbow trout, but keep your eyes peeled for other wildlife such a beavers, eagles, ducks, and geese. You can also travel just north of Rifle to Rifle Gap State Park which offers a boat ramp as well as excellent fishing.

Skiing
Cross-country skiers, snowshoers, and snowmobilers enjoy Rifle's 25 miles of groomed trails. Downhill skiers travel a short 40-minute drive to Sunlight Mountain Resort, near Glenwood Springs, which features some of the steepest and longest ski runs in the country.

Shopping
New stores are always showing up in Rifle, keeping the shopping scene exciting. In Downtown Rifle, you'll find antique shops, a bike shop, coffee shops, and small fashion boutiques.
