The purpose of Jazz Aspen Snowmass is to present jazz music for the enjoyment of the public, and to ensure this genre of music continues to entertain audiences for years to come. The event is a showpiece for American and popular music festivals.

Overview: The Aspen Jazz Festival presents the best of jazz to audiences visiting the Aspen area through world-class festivals, performances, and education programs. If you want to sit back, relax, and enjoy a few excellent jazz performances from talented artists, this is definitely the place to be in the summertime.

Details: The festival first began as a 3-day event in June - now it has evolved into a festival consisting of a long series of paid and free concerts. If you're not the most avid jazz fan, don't fret! The Aspen Jazz Festival is also home to a wide range of different genres of music. The highlights of the event include the June Festival and Labor Day Festival.
