Leadville Trail 100 Races
The term adventure can mean different things to different people. In the words of poet Ralph Waldo Emerson, "It is not length of life, but depth of life (that counts) ..." The point is, life can be simple, basic, repetitious, boring and common. Or life can be viewed as a great adventure. The choice is yours. Just as the choice is yours to participate in the adventure of a lifetime! more info
Leadville, Colorado, is host to one of the most challenging off-road bike races in North America. The Leadville Trail 100 is a feat only for a truly adventurous spirit with the body of an endurance athlete.
The race is an uphill climb over Colorado's high peaks above Twin Lakes, a hundred mile round trip. The event is the highest 100 mile cycle event in America. The Leadville 100 Mountain Bike Race bills itself as the toughest in North America. At altitudes ranging from 9500 feet-13,000 feet, it would be difficult to argue this point.
