Old Fashioned 4th of July
Aspen is the place to celebrate the 4th of July. It's old fashioned and a lot of fun.
Events typically include a 5 mile race, parade, free live music, a skating exhibition and of course, fireworks!

8 a.m. Boogie's Diner Buddy 5 Mile Race:
Register early $30 per adult; after May 31st $40; day of $50; Kids 16 and under $15
9:15 a.m. Boogie's Diner One-Mile Family/Canine Walk Race:
$80 per family includes 2 adults & 2 children (each additional related child is $15); $5 per dog

10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Eighth Annual "America's Birthday Carnival" - Early Learning Center's kids' carnival in Paepcke Park featuring games, BBQ, silent auction, bake sale, and July 4th souvenirs.

1:30 p.m. Aspen Art Museum's 4th Annual Fourth of July Picnic, Aspen Art Museum
Complimentary picnic, family activities, innovative parade float, and exhibitions by internationally renowned contemporary artists Aïda Ruilova and Friedrich Kunath (AAM, 970- 925-8050)
1:30 – 4:30 p.m. Aspen Highlands 4th of July Family BBQ, Aspen Highlands Village

8 - 10:30 p.m. "Dancing In The Streets" - Community street concert featuring Broadband on the Mill St./Cooper Ave. Mall area. (20 minute intermission during Firework Display)
9:15 p.m. Fireworks Extravaganza over Aspen Mountain

SATURDAY, JULY 5th
7 - 9:30 p.m. Live music by the Bo Hale Band. The celebration continues...please join the Aspen Chamber on Saturday, July 5th on the Cooper Ave. Mall/Wagner Park Plaza for more music & dancing. Free and open to the public.
