Overview: Aspen is full of surprises – in addition to fantastic skiing and snowboarding, the area also offers great winter events. One such event being the Aspen Winterskol Festival.  Usually consists of fireworks, live music, on-mountain competitions and a parade. It dates back to January 1951 when locals from the Aspen area made a decision to have a celebration of Aspen's unique Nordic lifestyle.

Join the celebration at the local town pubs, downtown Aspen and at the Aspen Ski Resort. You will find fireworks, parades, live music, competitions, snow sculpting contests and the famous Soupskol soup-making contest.
